Meet the tutors:

Lucy Kayne is a Suffolk-based commercial and fine art photographer, and photographic tutor with fourteen years of photographic experience. She says that her passion was ignited whilst studying for an art degree at Brighton University, where she spent hours developing prints in the darkroom, and taking her camera out and about documenting the quirky city streets.

'Seeking beauty in the everyday' is the theme that runs through her work. Small moments which often go unnoticed – repetition, patterns, the way that light hits a surface or the formation of a shadow. Working primarily in black and white, it is these observations which she strives to seek out.

Patrick Foster has been a professional photographer and photography lecturer for over thirty-five years. He has have taught at colleges and universities as well as lecturing on the photo club circuit. He is still a working photographer, but now concentrates on private tuition and producing work for picture agencies like Camera Press, Alamy and EWA.

His first exhibition was in 1992, and he has been showing his work ever since, exhibiting in England, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland and America. His work can always be found at Beyond the Image Gallery.

Patrick was awarded a MA in photography in 2000.  He is also a member of the Royal Photographic Society.

He says that "Nobody is unteachable; everybody is capable of learning. Whether you want to learn how to use your pocket camera or a pro DSLR, I can teach you."
